On June 3, Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels announced Genifer Rucker as the new president effective June 6.

Rucker previously served as president of Christus Spohn Hospital in Beeville for six years, according to a press release.

“I feel humbled and grateful to Christus Santa Rosa Health System and Christus Health for entrusting me to lead this already exceptional team,” Rucker said in the release. “I am so honored for the opportunity to be returning to a community that is near and dear to me.”

Rucker began her 30-year health care career as a transporter for the radiology department at McKenna Hospital, now Christus Santa Rosa Hospital.
