The railroad crossings had their quiet zones temporarily lifted Aug. 4 after an inspection identified the crossings were out of compliance with federal regulations. The city completed work including striping and the extension of curbs near the affected crossings listed below, according to a news release.
“The city is proactively inspecting the remaining 15 railroad crossings and making similar repairs to ensure that they meet federal standards,” the news release states.
