The community is invited to an event celebrating the 8,800-square-foot library branch on Sept. 16. The $5.5 million project was passed by voters in the 2019 bond.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 9:30 a.m., followed by outdoor games, a petting zoo, food trucks and a DJ. A performance by Ballet Folklorico will take place at noon, and a foam cannon party will begin at 1 p.m. During the event, participants can paint ceramic tiles for a future wall installation and receive a limited edition Westside Branch library card.
