Comal County residents can now review a draft of the county’s Hazard Mitigation Action Plan and provide feedback to county leaders.
The plan is required by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and is focused on reducing the risk to life and property that may be caused by naturally occurring events, including storms and floods.
“As part of this process, the public has continued opportunities to provide their input on the natural hazards they face and the best ways to potentially mitigate them,” said Jeff Kelley, Comal County Emergency Management coordinator.
The draft can be found on the Comal County Emergency Management web page at www.co.comal.tx.us/EOC.htm. Comments can be made by email at [email protected]. Residents can review the draft and send comments through May 31.
