With all 36 of the Guadalupe County Precincts reporting, Joshua Ray took the majority vote in the Republican primary, receiving 75.05% of votes.

Ray will move forward to the November election, where he will run uncontested. With no opponent in November, Ray will become the new sheriff of Guadalupe County following the election.

All results are unofficial until canvassed.

In the March 5 Republican Primary election for Guadalupe County Sheriff, Joshua Ray led early vote totals with 7,746 votes.

What you need to know

Ray ran against Patrick Pinder, who received 2,434 of early votes.

No candidates filed for a place on the ballot for the Democratic primary, meaning the primary winner will run uncontested on the ballot in November.
