As of 9:15 p.m. Nov. 3, Comal County has yet to report early voting or Election Day results as ballots are still being counted.

During the Oct. 13-30 early voting period, 78,280 county votes were cast in-person or by mail compared to 63,136 during the early voting and Election Day periods in 2016, according to data from the Comal County Elections Office.

Around 67.5% of the county’s 115,890 registered voters made it to the polls or mailed ballots before Election Day.

Election officials with Comal County could not be reached about why early voting results have not been released.
Guadalupe County saw a similar turnout, with 67,575 residents voting or mailing in ballots between Oct. 13-30 compared to 58,520 in the entire voting period in 2016, according to the Guadalupe County Elections Office. Of the county’s 111,231 registered voters, around 60.75% have cast ballots. As of 9:15 p.m. on Nov. 3, Guadalupe County reported 4,411 votes cast on Election Day, bringing the county total to 64.47% of registered voters having voted.

Of the county’s 35 precincts, 22 have reported unofficial results.


Results are updated as of 9:15 p.m. and are unofficial until they are canvassed and certified by the county clerk. Under Texas election law, the clerk accepts and counts mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day and received by Nov. 4, if they were sent from inside the U.S., or Nov. 9 if they were sent from outside the U.S.
