Mendoza helped open San Antonio's Veterans Memorial High School, and served as the school’s first athletic coordinator and head football coach from 2015-2021, according to a news release. He became the principal at Judson High School shortly after.
Mendoza also led coaching staffs at Memorial and Wagner high schools.
