Lenard has been in education for 11 years and began his career as band director for Kerrville ISD, according to a district release. In 2017 he began working as an assistant professor of music at Schreiner University where he was also director of the music and theater department.
For the last year Lenard has served as the fine arts coordinator at Comal ISD, according to the release, and will begin his new role July 1.
The newly created position will direct and manage fine arts programs across the district.
Lenard has a bachelor’s degree in music and a master’s degree in music education from Texas State University, a master’s degree in education administration with a principal certification from Lamar University and recently completed a doctorate in instrumental music education from Auburn University, according to the release.
