“We really look for that balance on a beer, where you’re not getting [every flavor] upfront, you’re getting a balance of everything so it’s enjoyable,” Keith said.
Keith said he has always had a passion for brewing beer and has been to hundreds of breweries around the world in order to refine his craft and offer unique and balanced brews to the New Braunfels community.
“We’ve done a lot of good, and it’s intentional, but I would call it good luck when it comes to people visiting and going, ‘Oh, I really love that venue,’” Keith said.
Guadalupe Brewing Co. had the intention of starting out to only be a brewery while offering food trucks on the property.
But like many small local businesses, the COVID-19 pandemic caused it to adapt and evolve into creating an entire pizza kitchen and expanding food options. The owners took the challenge head-on by purchasing all necessary kitchen equipment, expanding the facilities on their property and fine-tuning their recipe for the perfect pizza dough.
Anna said the venture into providing a full menu of food has been successful, and they will continue to offer the appetizers, salads, sandwiches and pizza present on their current menu.
The owners also maintain large gardens at the brewery where they harvest peppers, onions, garlic and other ingredients to provide fresh food to their customers. They are also actively investing in improving the equipment in their pizza kitchen.
Guadalupe Brewing Co. will host Oktoberfest during the last week of October, and customers can get a beer stein and pin with the company logo while enjoying live music and drinking German inspired beers.
“The entire project, the pizza with the beer, the ambiance, the music and the staff, everything kind of plays into [the Guadalupe Brewing Co.],” Keith said.
