A new 183-home rental community is wrapping up construction in New Braunfels. Villas at Creekside offers two-, three- and four-bedroom single-family homes with private driveways and attached two-car garages.

The details

The new luxury rental homes will be outfitted with quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances, a washer, dryer and valet trash service. Residents can utilize a smart home technology package, which includes keyless entry to homes, easy access to the gated community and a Nest thermostat that can be controlled wirelessly.

"[Villas at Creekside has] a lot of conveniences that people want with technology the way it is today, but that some of those other options in rental housing aren't able to provide, so it's unique," Kaplan Multifamily Vice President Dana Dovell said.

Residents can also submit service requests, pay rent or send messages to the management company, Kaplan Multifamily, through an online portal.

The community also offers various amenities, including:
  • A swimming pool and splash pad
  • Pet parks
  • Green space
  • A playground
  • An outdoor kitchen and grilling area
  • A 24-hour gym
  • A business center
Dovell said that Kaplan Multifamily is always looking for new ways to bring additional housing options to a community by working closely with local apartment agencies, school districts and the chamber of commerce. She said it can make a difference for people "to just be able to have more rental options for housing."

Each home also comes with a small fenced-in yard, which is maintained by the management company. Kaplan Multifamily also manages water services for renters to create a “maintenance-free and hassle-free convenience,” Dovell said.

Zooming in

A portion of the Villas at Creekside development has already been completed and 12- to 18-month leasing has begun. Construction began on the development in October 2022 and is anticipated to be completed by June 2024.

“So many people love the idea of having a home but are concerned or intimidated by all the expense and maintenance that can come with it. And this allows them to have that home without the huge investment,” Dovell said.
