Comal County phone and email operations will be closed Friday, April 10, in observance of Founders Day.

Offices have been closed to foot traffic since March to combat the spread of COVID-19, and the county issued a “Stay Home/Stay Safe order that is active through April 30.

First responders, staff in the Office of Public Health and staff in the emergency operations center will continue working Friday.

Additional county facilities affected by Founders Day closures include:
  • The Comal County Recycling Center will be closed Friday and Saturday and will reopen at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14.
  • Hidden Valley and Jumbo Evans sports parks will be closed until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14.
  • County-owned boat ramps will be closed until Tuesday, April 14.
New Braunfels previously announced that all city parks will be closed through Easter weekend.

The New Braunfels Utilities drive-thru will also be closed in observance of the holiday, though the 24-hour Control Center will continue to operate.
