New Braunfels seeks state approval for 2 gateway monument signs

In preparation for the city’s 175th anniversary in 2020, the city hopes to install two gateway monument signs along I-35.

Stephen Hanz, who a New Braunfels Chamber committee member that is involved in the the 175th anniversary celebration, presented the designs to City Council on March 25. The council approved the design of the signs.

The structures also require approval from the Texas Department of Transportation because they will be located within the state’s right of way along I-35.
