“We sit down and cut hair, and are the only salon in town [that uses that technique],” salon owner Larry Blinder said. “We've been doing that for 35 years. ... That's the reason we have been doing it so long, we're not standing all the time.”
Blinder’s parents started the business, and initially had several locations and hair schools throughout the state as well as in the Virgin Islands before scaling down to focus on the New Braunfels location, which opened in 1973.
Blinder said the stylists at the hair studio—Melissa Aguirre, Holly Cruz, Deana Ferreira, Michelle Hurd, Heidi Mueller and Lizabell Ramos—have been working at the business for over a decade.
“Everyone has been here well over a decade; they're all master colorists and stylists,” Blinder said. “They're just incredible.”
