Lolli's Daycare and Preschool, a Christian-based child care center, opened in New Braunfels on April 3.

Located in the heart of New Braunfels at 984 W. San Antonio St. at the former Hansel & Gretel Child Developmental Center, Lolli's offers day care for children from 18 months to 4 years old. Their after-school program will pick children of up to 12 years old from Morningside Elementary School, and they can register up to 82 children.

Children attending the day care will have the opportunity to participate in Spanish, sign language and Christian curriculum. Lolli's Daycare and Preschool also has adding security measures in place and practices a no-electronic-device rule for teachers and children in order to have them actively engaged in hands-on activities and learning.

Owner Tracy Oroian McGrath-White said they have teachers waiting to start working, and have open registration for children.

"It's going to be great," McGrath-White said. "I eventually want to be open on Saturdays, and I eventually want to do night care."

The day care is open Monday-Friday from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. and serves children lunches.
