New Braunfels Ghost Tours, located at 129 S. Seguin Ave., New Braunfels, in September was named the eighth best ghost tour in the U.S. by USA Today’s 10Best list. The company offers 90-minute walking tours of haunted spots throughout the city.

CoWork Factory in New Braunfels closes under weight of pandemic
The CoWork Factory, located at 277 W. San Antonio St., New Braunfels, announced its permanent closure Sept. 14. The downtown New Braunfels venture had been open since the fall of 2014, and information from the company states it was profitable until April 2020 but ultimately could not maintain revenue due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Free COVID-19 testing taking place in Leander Sept. 26
Leander will host a day of free COVID-19 testing in September, according to a news release.
The testing will take place Sept. 26 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. or until supplies last at the Leander Extended Opportunity Building, 300 S. West Drive, Leander.

Poke House coming soon to West Lake Hills
Locally owned Poke House is coming soon to a new location at 3652 Bee Caves Road, West Lake Hills. The owners are anticipating a December or early 2021 opening date. Poke House offers customizable Hawaiian poke bowls featuring a variety of fresh fish, sauces and toppings.
