During Tomlinson’s annual Pound4Pound pet food drive in 2018, the Austin-based pet retailer, along with its customers and pet-food partners, raised 155,218 pounds of food for Central Texas animal rescues and shelters.

This year, Tomlinson’s hopes to raise 160,000 pounds of food, with 113,000 pounds already donated.

Now through December 24, when customers purchase a bag of food for donation at any Tomlinson’s Feed store, Tomlinson’s will match the donation pound for pound with high-quality pet food, according to a news release.

Food donated during the event in stores or online will be gradually distributed throughout 2020 to 30 area animal rescues and shelters from Georgetown to New Braunfels, including the Humane Society of the New Braunfels Area.
