Crystal Falls Golf Club, at 3400 Crystal Falls Parkway, is Leander’s 18-hole municipal golf course.
The policy changes were needed because the previous guidance was outdated and lacked clarity, according to agenda documents. The revisions were intended to mitigate liability for the city and improve the customer experience.
What you need to know
The facility will now be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. seven days per week, and the last available tee time will be one hour before closing. The course was previously open from 7 a.m. to dusk.
People can buy range balls until one hour before closing, and the driving range and practice area will close on Tuesdays from two hours before closing until 11 a.m. on Wednesdays for weekly maintenance.
The rules change also clarified that alcoholic beverages will be permitted only if there is an event happening.
Regarding accepted clothing on the course, the new guidelines clarify that proper golf attire must be worn on the course.
