Unofficial election day results from Williamson County show Crystal Mancilla, who is Liberty Hill's current acting mayor, has won the special mayoral race and will serve the remaining term through May 3, 2025.

Mancilla received 56.76% of the vote, or 84 votes, leading Devin Vyner, who received 43.24% of the vote, or 64 votes. She will fill the mayor vacancy left by Liz Branigan.

"I pledge to be a mayor for all, to listen to your concerns, to advocate for your needs, and to work tirelessly to ensure that our city continues to thrive and prosper," Mancilla said in a statement provided to Community Impact. "It is with a profound sense of responsibility and humility that I accept the honor of being elected as your mayor."

At the polls

With Williamson County reporting early voting results, Crystal Mancilla is ahead.

Mancilla has received 62.65% of the vote, or 52 votes, leading Devin Vyner, who received 37.35% of the vote, or 31 votes.

Members of Liberty Hill City Council are elected at-large, meaning each member represents the entire city and all qualified voters in the city can cast a ballot in the race, per the city's website.


Keep in mind

Whoever comes out ahead in the special election will fill the vacancy left by former Mayor Liz Branigan and will serve out the remaining term through May 3, 2025.
