The Republic Kitchen + Bar closed its doors permanently on July 3.

The owners of the business announced the closure in a Facebook post on July 9.

“With full hearts and deep gratitude, we want to say thank you for the years of support, laughter, and unforgettable memories you've shared with us at The Republic Kitchen + Bar,” the post read. “Your presence made our space more than just a restaurant—it became a true community.”

The restaurant and bar, which offered a wide selection of cocktails, local beers, burgers, wings, and other pub food favorites, had been operating out of Leander since 2019. The owners also operate the Foxhole Culinary Tavern in North Austin.
