Newly-elected directors for districts one, six and seven of the Pedernales Electric Cooperative were announced at the company’s annual meeting June 23, according to a statement from the PEC.

Replacing nine-year director Cristi Clement, Milton Rister will serve as the new director for district one. Incumbent directors Paul Graf from district six and Amy Lea S.J. Akers from district seven were re-elected for another term. Both have served on the board for three years, according to the statement.

The company also celebrated its 80-year anniversary at the meeting.

“We’re honored to volunteer in your neighborhoods and schools and give back to our communities through grants, scholarships and more,” Board President Emily Pataki said in the utility cooperative's statement.

The company will elect board officers at its regular board meeting in August, according to the PEC.
