While Easter is still a week away, there are a number of events with spring theme, as well as activities to get the whole family out into the community this weekend. April 7: Family Fun Festival. Members of the public are invited to enjoy food, beer and live music, and benefits go toward the Leander Fire Department. Two pounds of crawfish per person while supplies last. Sponsored by the Down Syndrome Association of Central Texas, the sixth annual event helps raise awareness and knowledge about Down syndrome and fundraise of the organization. The day’s activities will include a 1-mile course distance run, sponge relays, photo booth, face painting and music.
