Rep. Tony Dale, R-Cedar Park, will retain his seat representing state House District 136. Dale earned 55 percent of the vote, according to the Texas Secretary of State website. His challenger, Democrat Paul Gordon, earned 44.99 percent of the vote.

At a Williamson County Republicans watch party tonight, Rep. Tony Dale, R-Cedar Park, declared victory in the race to retain his seat in state House District 136.

"I see so many people who have assisted over the last 16 years in Williamson County. This can't be done alone," he said. "This is your victory, not just mine. It's one for Williamson County."

Dale also expressed his support for fellow republican and Presidential candidate Donald Trump, saying if Trump wins, he will celebrate with a bottle of champagne at his home that he set aside in 2008.

According to Williamson County election results, Dale has earned 54.48 percent of the vote, compared to Democratic challenger Paul Gordon's 45.52 percent. A total of 66,070 votes have been counted in the race so far.

Incumbent Rep. Tony Dale, R-Cedar Park, is leading the race for state House District 136, according to early voting totals.

According to Williamson County's early voting totals, Dale earned 54.23 percent of the vote to challenger Democrat Paul Gordon's 45.77 percent. More than 60,000 voters cast their ballots in the race during early voting, according to the county clerk's office.

Incumbent State Rep. Tony Dale, R-Cedar Park, will join fellow Williamson County Republicans for an election night watch party at the Williamson Conference Center in the Wingate Hotel, 1209 N. I-35, Round Rock. Williamson County Republican Party Chairman Bill Fairbrother will emcee the event.

Dale faces Democratic challenger Paul Gordon in the race for State House District 136. Gordon will attend the Williamson County Democratic Party for a watch party at Verde’s Parrilla & Tequileria, 2000 S. I-35, Ste. D1, Round Rock.
