Recent data from the Austin Board of Realtors shows the number of homes sold in Cedar Park and Leander remained unchanged year-over-year in August, though the median price of homes has continued to rise over last year's amount.

According to the August 2017 Central Texas Housing Market Report released Tuesday by ABoR, the median price of homes rose 10.6 percent to $314,000. Single-family home sales remained steady at 370 homes sold year over year.

In the Austin-Round Rock Metropolitan Statistical Area—which includes Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis and Williamson counties—single-family home sales increased 1 percent year over year to 2,994 home sales and median home price rose 4 percent year-over-year to $300,000.

According to ABoR's report, the 2017 Central Texas summer selling season was the strongest on record in terms of single-family home sales and median price across the Austin-Round Rock MSA.
