ONGOING PROJECTS
1. San Gabriel Parkway extension
The about $11.4 million project connects San Gabriel from CR 270 to Ronald Reagan Boulevard. Phase 1 is the middle section of the extension project; Phase 2 will connect Phase 1 to CR 270 and Ronald Reagan. Phase 1 is estimated to be complete by the end of October, according to city spokesperson Mike Neu. Construction on Phase 2 may begin early 2020.

2. Street rehabilitation project
This about $1.7 million project includes repairs to roads in Leander. A Repairs to Bagdad Road from CR 280 to around Live Oak Road were scheduled to start early September. Final repairs to B Halsey Drive from Bagdad to San Gabriel Parkway were set for early September. C Journey Parkway improvements, improvements to D Osage Drive from Quick Fort Drive to Lakeline Boulevard and improvements from E Horseshoe Drive to Lion Drive have been made.

RECENT UPDATES
3. New Hope Drive extension
New Hope Drive in Cedar Park is being extended from Ronald Reagan Boulevard to Sam Bass Road. This section of the road will be designed and constructed as a four-lane divided roadway with a raised median, bike lanes and a shared-use path. The project is in the design phase, according to city spokesperson Jennie Huerta.
Timeline: April 2021-December 2023
Cost: $18.4 million
Funding sources: federal funds, 2015 Cedar Park bond funds
4. 2019 Thin Asphalt Overlay Project
The micro seal on several Cedar Park streets has peeled off. This project removes portions of the existing asphalt and micro seal on streets in A Cypress Bend and B Cypress Creek subdivisions and will provide an asphalt overlay of the streets, according to city documents.
Timeline: September
Cost: $464,822.75
Funding source: Cedar Park annual street maintenance funds
UPCOMING PROJECTS
5. Bell Boulevard realignment
The project relocates a portion of Bell Boulevard—from Cypress Creek Road to Cedar Park Drive—to Old Hwy. 183. Once relocated, Bell will be a four-lane divided roadway. The project is currently under design. The city has two contracts with Binkley and Barfield Consulting Engineers for preliminary and final design of the Bell roadway project totaling $2,967,381, according to city documents. Cedar Park City Council authorized a supplemental engineering agreement Aug. 22 with the engineers for the design of the realignment project, resulting in a 16.8% increase to the original engineering contracts costs, according to city documents. There is adequate funding in the Bell budget for the cost, according to city documents.

6. Avery Ranch and Pearson Ranch safety improvements
The city of Austin has begun the design of a traffic signal at A Pearson Ranch Road and Avery Ranch Boulevard, according to Williamson County spokesperson Lauren Gammon. A pedestrian signal on B Pearson Ranch and Iveans Way is under construction and expected to be complete in September.
Timeline: expected to begin in fall
Cost: $310,000 (traffic signal), $130,000 (pedestrian signal)
