Since opening their wine bar and restaurant in November, co-owners Arik Williams and Alan Thomas have added new offerings to the menu.

On Jan. 19, The Rotten Bunch hosted its first wine- and food-pairing four-course dinner, which featured dishes created solely for the red-themed event—meaning all dishes and wines served entailed a red theme. Dishes included coriander-cured salmon served with parsnip puree, and a braised beef shank served with white cheddar grits and a blackberry mustard.

Williams said he hopes to continue the food and wine pairings throughout 2016.

Since opening The Rotten Bunch in Austin, Williams said the community has received the business well and said many groups have rented out the space for private events.

“We’ve been really receptive to how the community wants to enjoy the space,” he said. “I have been really excited to see that the community wanted that downtown [Austin], quality experience close to home because I did living up here, [too].”
