The owners of Square Cow Moovers say their commitment to service is what sets the company apart.
“From the time someone calls us to when the last item comes off the truck, we want to absolutely dominate the whole serving attitude,” co-owner Wade Lombard said. “There might be a moving company that specializes in things we don’t or is less expensive, but we will not be out-served.”
The Austin-based company offers local and long-distance moving in the Austin, Dallas and Houston areas, and around its Colorado and Tennessee locations. The Cedar Park facility is the only location with a storage warehouse where customers can store furniture.
The Square Cow Moovers staff is trained to be extremely polite, Lombard said. Family is also a priority, Vice President of Operations Derik Massey said.
“We integrate family into every aspect of our business and take it really seriously,” Massey said. “We take many steps to ensure our families have comfort and peace of mind, such as doing a criminal background check on our employees and spending an ample amount of time training them, compared to just putting them out there.”
Lombard, his father Wayne, and brother-in-law Derek started the business in 2008 with two trucks, and he said they moved everything themselves.
“At the end of five years we had 15 trucks and two locations,” Lombard said. “Today we have 60 trucks and 11 locations.”
Square Cow plans to open an Arizona location in September and open in Florida and North Carolina in 2018.
“The goal is to continue growing the company while not diminishing in quality,” Lombard said.
