Bee Cave will have a public hearing tomorrow regarding proposed land annexation

The city will have a special city council meeting to hold second public hearings regarding a 504-acre tract east of Hamilton Pool Road and a 327-acre tract east of RR 620.

The meeting will take place at 5 p.m. at City Hall, 4000 Galleria Pkwy,. Bee Cave. The meeting’s agenda can be found on the city’s website.

Eanes ISD hired Tiffany Phelps as Barton Creek Elementary School principal

Eanes ISD board of trustees on Tuesday hired Tiffany Phelps, current associate principal of Vandegrift High School, as the new principal at Barton Creek Elementary School.

In July, Phelps will replace retiring interim principal Bill Bechtol, who filled in for the year after the school’s former principal Bryan Shippey took an assistant principal role at Westlake High School last June.

LCRA is predicting another hot summer for Central Texas

Bob Rose, chief meteorologist for the Lower Colorado River Authority, said Wednesday this summer’s temperatures should be near a repeat of last year’s forecast, with temperatures in the area about 1-2 degrees above normal from late spring through August and possibly into September.
