Hill Country Golf & Guitar property goes under contract

After seven-and-a-half months on the real estate market and multiple offers, the former Hill Country Golf & Guitar property at 15506 Hwy. 71 is under contract according to Guy Oberg, the real estate broker behind the purchase deal.

“It’s going to be a new restaurant, I don’t know what kind of restaurant it will be,” Oberg said, adding it will feature an unnamed local chef from Spicewood.

Oberg also said the buyer is from Dallas and plans to keep the 18-hole miniature golf component of the 7.3-acre property which went into foreclosure in mid-2016.

The purchase deal is expected to formally close in mid-February, Oberg said.

Hill Country Golf & Guitar, home to the Six String Grill opened in November of 2014. In Feb. 2016, owner Rich Phillips said he had issues with quality of service of the venue.
