The 7.3-acre tract housing former entertainment venue Hill Country Golf & Guitar—including a restaurant, live music stage and 18-hole miniature golf venue at 15506 W. Hwy. 71, Bee Cave—is about to get an addition. A “For sale” sign is scheduled to be placed on the site this Friday, said Guy Oberg III, principal at Oberg Properties. The tract and its 6,425 square feet of facility space was foreclosed upon in mid-2016, and its creditor bank unsuccessfully tried to sell the project, Oberg said. Oberg, based in Lake Travis, and national real estate company NAI Partners are jointly brokering the sale for Pioneer Bank Although Oberg said the site is equipped to open as a restaurant within about 90 days after closing, he has had interest from other potential buyers. “It might not be a restaurant,” Oberg said of the contacts he has received from possible purchasers, including a day care business, baseball training facility and a creative office. “The [For sale] sign goes up on Friday. We are actively marketing [the former Hill Country Golf & Guitar site].” The property is listed for $3.5 million. Local resident Rich Phillips opened the Hill Country Golf & Guitar with its Six String Grill in 2014.
