Lakeway City Council has approved preliminary plans for Tuscan Village Section 2, located at 1935 Lohmans Crossing, during its Oct. 21 meeting.
These preliminary plans are for a specific phase of an already approved planned unit development. This phase consists of several projects, including two multifamily residential lots, one commercial lot for office use and one lot for a water storage tank.
The overview
Once complete, the entirety of Tuscan Village will include the projects previously mentioned as well as a 210-unit multifamily residential apartment complex called The Jovie, which will reserve half of its units for residents over the age of 55.
Tuscan Village will be just one section of the larger City Center development. Information about this project is available on Lakeway’s website.
Section 1 of City Center will be The Square at Lohmans Crossing. This section will contain up to 330 residential units, 350,000 square feet of commercial space and pedestrian paths as well as a splash pad and amphitheater, according to previous reporting by Community Impact.
Section 3, The Oaks at Lakeway PUD, will contain a 270-unit apartment complex, built by developers Stratus Lakeway Center, and 23-acre park.
What’s next
Completion of the City Center project will take place over multiple phases, with final build out estimated around 2030-31, according to previous reporting by Community Impact.
