To date, the county has spent $161,000 on the design and engineering phase of this project. More than $6 million in unissued debt had been allocated for improvements.
The project will instead be pursued by the city of Bee Cave, which annexed Travis County’s portion of Great Divide Drive in September and agreed to pay for improvements.
Otherwise, the five-year 2017 bond program is largely on track, according to an update presented to the Commissioners Court in December.
Fifty-six of the 60 projects are in active development, and all but two are on schedule to be substantially completed by 2022.
