The city of Lakeway will host an in-person Memorial Day ceremony 10 a.m. May 28 at Lakeway Church. The program includes a presentation of the colors, pledge of allegiance and presentation of a memorial wreath. Scheduled speakers include Lakeway Mayor Tom Kilgore and retired Army Gen. Vincent Brooks. An invocation will be given by Associate Pastor Brent Graham of Lakeway Church, and a benediction will be given by Father David Liebham of Emmaus Catholic Church. Lakeway Church is at 2203 Lakeway Blvd., Lakeway.

Memorial Day is a federal holiday recognized each year on the final Monday of May to honor those who died while serving in the military.
