Public affairs professional Jennifer Szimanski has won one of three Lakeway City Council seats with 21.06% of the vote with 2,172 votes in the May 7 election.

Six candidates were vying for three seats, and the top three vote-getters are elected.

Incumbent Louis Mastrangelo pulled in the second highest amount with 2,156 votes and 20.91% of the votes. Kelly Brynteson has the third highest showing with 18.94% and 1,953 votes.

Incumbent Steven C. Smith netted 17.64% of the vote with 1,819 votes; Nina Davis had 12.27% of the votes with 1,265 votes; Connie Ditto received 9.19% of the votes with 948 votes.
