Lake Travis ISD will welcome more than 11,000 students across 11 campuses for the 2024-25 school year.

Here’s what LTISD families need to know before returning to school Aug. 14, including start and dismissal times, important dates to remember, and upcoming events.

What you need to know

LTISD campuses will adhere to the following bell schedules this school year:
  • Elementary school will begin at 7:40 a.m. and dismiss at 3 p.m.
  • Middle and high school will begin at 8:50 a.m. and dismiss at 4:10 p.m.

Some important dates for LTISD students include:
  • Sept. 2: First student and staff holiday
  • Nov. 25-29: Thanksgiving break
  • Dec. 23-Jan. 7: Winter break
  • May 22: Last day of school

Also of note

LTISD has posted school supply lists for each grade level and campus. Lake Travis High School students will receive a school supply list during the first week of school, according to district information.

This school year, the district will begin using Google Classroom instead of Schoology for prekindergarten through fifth grade students.

The district is accepting registration for transportation services and after-school child care.


In case you missed it

Beginning Aug. 14, prekindergarten through eighth grade students will not be allowed to use their cellphones or smart devices during the school day.

Under the district’s new policy, devices must be turned off and kept out of sight until dismissal. Students who violate the policy will have their devices confiscated, according to district information.
