The Lakeway City Council meeting will be rescheduled to April 4 because of severe weather forecast for the evening.

Mayor Tom Kilgore made the announcement via Facebook Live, saying it would not be prudent to conduct city business during a severe weather alert.

The city's personnel policy is to close city offices when Lake Travis ISD has made the decision to close schools because of inclement weather.

Kilgore also said trash pickup will occur as regularly scheduled March 22, but he advised homeowners should not put trash out until the morning of March 22.
