Rollingwood’s city administrator resigned last week

Charles Winfield, who served as Rollingwood’s city administrator since 2013, resigned Feb. 15, effective immediately.

Plans for Lakeway mixed-use development were revealed last week

Developer Haythem Dawlett presented his proposal for a planned development district encompassing the city’s last large land tract to Lakeway City Council Feb. 14. The project is slated to include walkable residential and commercial buildings centered around a city park as well as possibly a performing arts center.

Lakeway City Council will meet Tuesday due to Presidents Day 

City Council will consider awarding the city's waste collection, recycling and disposal services to Waste Connections, Inc. at its meeting Tuesday night.

Lake Travis ISD Board of Trustees will meet Tuesday

LTISD will hold its February board meeting Tuesday at 6 p.m. at 607 N. RR 620, Austin.

At the meeting, the board will recognize Lake Travis High School students who were named all-state musicians by the Texas Music Educators Association. The board will also recognize LT High Five Award recipients.

Eanes ISD will look at district goals for the coming year

At a board meeting Tuesday, EISD Board of Trustees will look to approve four priorities and five district goals identified at the district’s strategic summit in January.

Author Skip Hollandsworth will speak at the Lake Travis Community Library

As part of the Lake Travis Reads program, author Skip Hollandsworth will speak about his book, “The Midnight Assassin: Panic, Scandal, and the Hunt for America’s First Serial Killer.”  Hollandsworth’s book details a series of gruesome murders in Austin in the mid-1880s that were never solved.

The free event begins at 7 p.m. at the Lake Travis Community Library, located at 1938 Lohmans Crossing Road, Lakeway.

Rollingwood City Council will have a special meeting Wednesday morning

City Council is scheduled to discuss bids for oak wilt trenching on Rollingwood streets at a special meeting Wednesday at 8 a.m. Council will convene at City Hall, 403 Nixon Drive, Rollingwood.

West Lake Hills City Council will discuss possible rezoning of retail development at its meeting Wednesday night

At a meeting Wednesday, West Lake Hills City Council will discuss possible rezoning for properties at 96 and 98 Redbud Trail, currently Westlake Auto and Westlake Grocery.  Council will also update the public on area infrastructure projects.

A forum about trusts for individuals with special needs will take place Thursday
