The city of Georgetown is offering financial relief to water customers who experienced leaks from damaged pipes caused by the severe winter weather in February.

The city will expand credits to customers by making adjustments to bills offering 100% of the difference between a customer’s highest consumption during the leak period and normal comparable consumption during the same period last year, officials said.

Leaks are expected to be repaired as soon as possible after discovery, officials said.

Those interested in taking part in the credit should fill out a form found here or on the city’s website. Officials said customers should allow 10 days for an adjustment to appear on their account after a document is submitted. No adjustments will be made on delinquent accounts, it said.
