The League of Women Voters Williamson County is hosting two voter registration events at which all county residents can register while remaining in their cars, according to a news release.

The first event will be held Sept. 18 from 5-7 p.m. at Igo Elementary School, 1601 CR 314, Jarrell. The second event will be held Sept. 19 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the San Gabriel Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1322 E. University Ave., Georgetown.

The events will allow drivers to pull up to the station, be handed a registration card by a masked LWV worker and return it when completed, the release said.

Individuals are eligible to register to vote if they are a United States citizen, a resident of the county where the application is submitted, at least 17 years and 10 months of age, and not a convicted felon.

The deadline to register to vote in the November election is Oct. 5. Early voting begins Oct. 13. Election Day is Nov. 3.
