Bartlett Cocke General Contractors, an Austin-based company selected in May to develop plans for two new Georgetown ISD elementary schools, has given more than a third of the $6,370 in total contributions made to the Vote Yes GISD Bond specific-purpose political action committee, according to filings with the Texas Ethics Commission. Vote Yes GISD Bond is so far the only campaign group involved in Georgetown ISD’s $166 million November bond election that has registered with the commission, according to a review of filings Tuesday. Scott Firth of Georgetown is listed as treasurer of Vote Yes GISD Bond, filings show. The pro-bond committee reported $6,370 in total contributions and $3,484.57 in expenditures between Aug. 22 and Sep. 27, according to a 30-day campaign finance report. The committee reported $2,885.43 cash on hand as of Oct. 3, according to the report. Tuesday is the deadline for candidates and political committees that accept political contributions, make political expenditures or are involved in other election-related activity to file 30-day campaign finance reports.
