Drivers can expect a lane closure along Williams Drive in Georgetown as construction crews work on a new turn lane for a private project.

The gist

The outside, northwest bound lane on Williams Drive between Park Lane and Rivery Boulevard is closed from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. until Feb. 17, according to a city of Georgetown Facebook post.

Construction for a new turn lane for a private commercial project began Jan. 28, and progress is being made, weather permitting.

The closure is for Williams Plaza, a city official said in an email to Community Impact.

The area will also be home to The Commons at Rivery, a future mixed-use development which started construction in September 2023, according to previous Community Impact reporting.
