Through May 31, Georgetown residents have the opportunity to provide input on two different transportation projects in the city.

The first, the Williams Drive Enhancements Project Survey, asks for feedback on traffic flow, sidewalks, lighting and bike facilities on Williams Drive between Jim Hogg Road and North Austin Avenue, according to a May 3 news release.

Georgetown began a study in late 2022 to look at adding medians along the length of the corridor to increase safety by consolidating the number of driveways and adding protected turn lanes.

The city, in partnership with the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, is also conducting an Austin Avenue Corridor Study online open house to collect information about how people use that road, according to the release.

The study will look at alternative modes of transportation and opportunities to enhance safety.
