The southeast-bound lane of Williams Drive at the Bootys Crossing intersection will be closed until Aug. 5.
Two-way, through traffic will remain open during construction, but delays can be expected, according to the Georgetown weekly newsletter.
The intersection project includes new turn lanes, traffic signals, Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant ramps, crosswalks, sidewalks and storm sewers, according to the city.
The project totals $1.45 million and is funded by city of Georgetown 2015 transportation bonds and Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization federal transportation money.
