THE LATEST Georgetown is working on building a comprehensive bicycle plan as part of its 2030 plan. The city enlisted graduate students from the University of Texas at Austin to develop the plan, which would serve as a blueprint for potential cycling transportation enhancements in the future. The team began working in August, holding community meeting throughout the end of 2018 to enlist insight from riders and non-riders. The city was presented with a final draft of the master bicycle plan in December. A City Council review and vote on the plan is anticipated by May.
