Georgetown-area ZIP code 78633 saw 17 more homes sell in December compared to December 2023, according to recently released data from the Austin Board of Realtors and
Unlock MLS.
This represents a 28.33% increase, while other Georgetown ZIP codes 78626 and 78628 saw year-over-year declines.
However, ZIP code 78628 had the most home sales in the area at 133—down just one from December 2023.
Of the 253 homes that sold across the three Georgetown ZIP codes in December, the majority of them—135—sold for between $300,000-$499,999.
Still, the area saw homes sell at each of the following price points.
ZIP code 78626 was the only one in the Georgetown area to see an increase in median home sales price in December. There, median prices rose by $18,500 year over year.
ZIP code 78628 saw the largest percent change year over year, clocking a 6.36% decline as median price fell by about $34,000.
Homes also stayed on the market longer year over year in December in two of the ZIP codes.
Despite seeing an increase in days on the market, homes sold, on average, fastest in ZIP code 78626 in December at 70 days.
Trends seen in the Georgetown area around the number of active listings on the market in December mimic those happening across the Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos metropolitan statistical area, according to an Unlock MLS
news release.
The number of active listings in Georgetown rose from 765 in December 2023 to 878 in December 2024—a 14.77% increase. Meanwhile, across the Central Texas region, active listings also rose 14.7% to 132,993.
