However, Georgetown's other two area ZIP codes—78628 and 78633—both saw increases in the number of homes sold year over year.
This was more in line with what Williamson County experienced as a whole in July, where 943 more homes sold this July compared to last July—a 3.8% increase, according to ABoR's monthly housing report.
The median price of homes sold in July decreased by about 5% in two area ZIP codes—78626 and 78633.
Meanwhile, ZIP code 78628, which has the highest average home prices in the area, saw them increase year over year to $528,137.
About half of the 230 homes that sold in July were in the $300,000-$499,999 price range; however, homes sold in each of the following price brackets.
Lastly, homes spent about the same number of days on the market on average this July as last July, with each ZIP code seeing a change of six days or fewer.
“Buyers are taking advantage of ample housing inventory and more affordably priced housing options in the market outside of Travis County," said Kent Redding, 2024 ABoR and Unlock MLS president, in the report. "This demonstrates that when a home is priced right, buyers are ready to make a move."
