Georgetown area ZIP codes saw across the board year-over-year declines in June in three metrics—median home sales price, number of homes sold and the average number a days a home spends on the market—according to recently released data from the Austin Board of Realtors and Unlock MLS.


While the median price of homes sold dipped slightly year over year in ZIP codes 78626 and 78628, ZIP code 78633 saw the largest decline. Home sales prices in this ZIP code fell from $500,000 in June 2023 to $469,916 this June—more than a 6% decline.


More than half of all homes in June sold for between $300,000-$499,999. However, ZIP code 78628 saw more than 40 homes sell for $500,000-$699,999.

ZIP code 78633 saw the smallest decline in the number of homes sold year over year. Meanwhile, between 30-40 fewer homes sold this June compared to last June in ZIP codes 78626 and 78628.


The homes that did sell in June spent less time for sale, as all three ZIP codes saw a decline in the average number of days on the market.


Overall, the number of active listings in Georgetown increased from 992 in June 2023 to 1,134 in June 2024. This reflects a larger trend in Central Texas, where active listings and months of inventory are up metrowide, according to an Unlock MLS news release.
