1. Southwest Bypass Segment 2
Roadway excavation at the west end of the project near RM 2243 is underway. Construction crews are placing road base material at the west end of the project up to RM 2243 as well as electrical ground boxes on RM 2243 and light posts. The concrete curb has also been placed along the roadway.
Timeline: September 2018-late 2019
Cost: $8.1 million

2. CR 176 at RM 2243 realignment
The right of way clearing and earthwork activities are underway. Road base material is being placed between RM 2243 and the existing CR 176 as well as for the roadway widening of RM 2243. This will allow construction of the new center turn lane on RM 2243. Driveways are also being constructed along the new CR 176 roadway.

3. Rivery Boulevard ribbon cutting, Northwest Boulevard groundbreaking
The city of Georgetown celebrated the completion of the first phase of the A. Rivery Boulevard road project and the groundbreaking of B. Northwest Boulevard extension project Sept. 13. When complete, Rivery will extend from the north end of the existing Rivery at Williams Drive to Northwest Boulevard, and the Northwest project will reconstruct the road from Fontana Drive to Austin Avenue and includes a new bridge over I-35. The $5.1 million and $8.2 million projects, respectively, were approved by voters in the 2015 bond election.
