Patriot Animal Hospital will break ground at 4910 W. Hwy. 29, Georgetown, later this month, according to owner Freddy Mitchell.
The all-inclusive animal wellness and diagnostic center will be approximately 4,100 square feet and will house five exam rooms, a state-of-the-art surgery suite and a treatment area.
The facility will also run in-house laboratory tests, vaccinations, radiology exams and dental exams.
Services will be provided and managed by Mitchell and his wife, Dr. Amy Mathiak.
Mathiak has been a veterinarian in the Austin area for 3 1/2 years. Mitchell has served in the Army for over 12 years and will be the practice/operations manager.
“We are super excited to get this project across the finish line,” Mitchell said. “We love living in this community, and we are excited to get more involved.”
Mitchell and Mathiak purchased the 1.2-acre lot in 2021.
Mitchell said the construction is expected to be complete in 30 weeks, but with supply chain and labor shortages, will allow wiggle room.
