1. A new restaurant is coming to the Georgetown Square in the spring. While it does not have a name yet, the restaurant will replace Burger University on the Georgetown Square at 119 W. Seventh St., Georgetown. Further details are expected to come in the new year, but the establishment currently plans to open in May, said David Dittrich, senior project manager with S. Watts Group, a commercial general contractor group overseeing the project.
2. Richard Semple has been named the new chief information officer for Williamson County, according to a Dec. 10 news release. Semple served Williamson County for 15 years in his previous position as IT operations director. He replaces Jay Shade, who retired after serving for more than 20 years as the county’s senior director of technology services.
