Georgetown City Council members toured a variety of neighborhoods in Williamson County as part of a housing development tour led by Assistant City Manager Nick Woolery and Planning Director Sofia Nelson.

"With the pace of growth in Georgetown, this tour was beneficial for city council members to see what our residential developments are looking like on the ground so they can provide good policy guidance on any changes they want to see for the future of housing development in Georgetown," Woolery said.

On the tour, council conversed about current development standards including landscaping requirements, the aesthetic of exterior materials, road width, driveway width, guest parking options and amenities.

Neighborhoods included in the tour:

• Carlson Cove, 200 Rockride Lane


A traditional single-family community with 599 lots over 136 acres. The first four phases of the development were platted and developed under residential zoning.

• The Courtyard, 215 S Rock Street

A multi-family rental development with 12 units. The building sits on 0.33 acres and is zoned with Mixed-use Downtown.

• Crescent Bluff, 1217 Horizon View Drive


A development outside Georgetown city limits that sits on 287 acres with 784 units: Single-family units: 710 units with no fewer than five different lot sizes; Townhomes-74 units.

• Davidson Ranch, 2415 Southwest Blvd.

A two-phase neighborhood that has duplex and single-family unit options (174 single-family, 57 two-family, and 11 open space lots.)

• Linea Stillwater, 901 Big Rocky Bend


A single-family rental subdivision with 230 units on 73 acres. The project was done in four phases, all with individually platted lots.

• Old Mill Crossing Townhomes, 535 High Tech Drive

A large multi-unit attached development with 99 units spanned across 18.8 acres. Under the low-density, multi-family district standard, the city allows up to 14 units per acre.

• Parmer Ranch, 1000 Garrett Oaks Lane


A development outside of Georgetown city limits (ETJ) that sits on 445 acres. Includes 1,018 single-family units and 1,688 units total.

• Parkside Crossing, 400 Parkline Drive

An 89 multi-unit attached development over 12 acres, zoned as low-density residential.

• Riverhill Subdivision, 301 NE Inner Loop


A single-family residential community with 103 units over 28 acres.

• Rivers Edge,115 Stone Mountain Road

A single-family rental neighborhood with 92 units over 25 acres.

• Saddlecreek, 8905 Daisy Cutter Crossing

A collection of subdivisions spanning 353 acres. Multiple zoning regulations are applied including multi-family, local commercial, residential single, townhouse and business park zoning along a portion of SH 130. There is a maximum of 350 multi-family units, maximum of 475 townhouse units and a maximum of 1,100 single-family detached units.

• Wolf Ranch, 1000 Legacy Xing

MUD that stretches over 1,120 acres. Approximately 2,200-2,300 detached single-family homes, 1,000-1,100 multifamily, two-family dwellings, townhouses and 20 acres of commercial development is expected at full buildout.
